Lone Star Roofing Co was founded in 2009 by third-generation roofer Carlos Vega, who grew up watching his grandfather nail shingles in South Texas. After 8 years working for large Dallas roofing firms, Carlos saw the same problem everywhere: homeowners getting pushed through assembly-line crews with zero accountability after the job was done.
So he started Lone Star with a single crew, a pickup truck, and a simple promise: we show up when we say we will, we do exactly what we quoted, and we stand behind every nail. Fifteen years later, that promise is still our foundation.
Today we run 12 crews across the DFW metroplex, serving homeowners and commercial property owners from Denton County to Rockwall, Cedar Hill to Wylie. We’ve earned GAF Master Elite status — a distinction held by fewer than 2% of roofing contractors in North America — and we’re proud BBB Accredited Business members with an A+ rating.
